This program offers participants the opportunity to attend development workshops, network with company professionals, and work on meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from their respective managers throughout the summer. Interns can participate in skill-based tracks across various fields, including Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other technical or non-technical degree programs. ### Program Details - This is a paid, 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week). - Interns may be assigned to either a technical or non-technical department. - Development workshops are provided to assist in the transition from academic life to the corporate environment. - Housing is not provided as part of this program. ## Essential Accountabilities Specific duties will vary depending on the assignment. General responsibilities include: - Completing tasks such as legal research, legal writing, and process improvements within the legal department. - Engaging in critical analysis, thinking, and business/legal communications. - Working with a mentor to support key strategic projects. - Executing work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications. - Performing a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across a broad range of business projects. - Creating and delivering presentations upon completion of the internship. - Consistently demonstrating high standards of integrity by upholding the mission and values of Lifetime Healthcare Companies, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and embodying the Lifetime Way values. - Maintaining strict confidentiality and protecting member privacy in accordance with company policies. - Maintaining regular and reliable attendance. - Performing other functions as assigned by management. ## Minimum Qualifications ### Education & Experience - High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program). - Desired Majors/Degree Programs include: Juris Doctorate (JD). - Preferred (but not required) experience includes: familiarity with AI tools, an interest in health care, or prior legal intern experience. ### Skills & Abilities - Must be in good academic standing. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and staff at all company levels. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality work product. - Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and establish positive working relationships with peers. - Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. - Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks. - Commitment to the continuous improvement of personal skills and team functioning. - Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to contribute to intra- and inter-departmental teams as needed. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and operating a desktop computer in a professional environment. ## Physical Requirements - Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, viewing a computer, and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time. - Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for required meetings and/or training courses. ## Compensation and EEO Statement ### Compensation Range (Level I) Minimum: $18.00 - Maximum: $20.00 The salary range indicated represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary depends on factors including, but not limited to, budget availability, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education relating to the minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity.
