The successful candidate will interpret complex datasets to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and help build scalable tools to automate and enhance desk capabilities. This role serves as a developmental opportunity. Working under the direct supervision of senior team members, the intern will contribute to client activity analysis and key projects, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced electronic trading environment. **Scope:** UK based, supporting eFX, eRates, and eCredit. ### Key Responsibilities - **Analytics:** Interpret quantitative data to drive strategic growth and monitor KPIs (volume, hit rates, revenue). - **Engineering:** Build scalable tools and expand data architectures to automate and enhance desk capabilities. - **Commercial:** Partner with Sales and E-Trading to proactively increase electronic footprints through data-backed client strategies. - **Innovation:** Proactively research and implement new technologies to optimize desk workflows. - Complete specific assignments and support senior team members with day-to-day activities under full supervision of senior team members. - Participate in Technical and Business Skills Training. - Adhere to and fully recognize regulatory requirements and BNP Paribas policy (including the BNP Paribas Code of Conduct). ## Requirements - Degree from a leading university with an excellent academic record, while pursuing a Master's or PhD in a quantitative subject, or equivalent work experience. - Good understanding of financial markets. - Curiosity and eagerness to learn. - Confident verbal, written communication, and networking skills. - Proficiency with MS Office tools, including Excel. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. - Strong analysis and judgment. - Meticulous accuracy with a keen eye for detail. - Proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter, and team player with strong interpersonal skills. - Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage. - Good programming skills (C++, Python, Java, R, or other equivalent). - Delivery-driven mindset. ### Conduct and Values **Conduct:** - Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good conduct. - Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks. - Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues.
