Our digital risk practices work to help clients understand their overall technology strategy to effectively manage risk while transforming their business. We proactively advise clients on potential risks and opportunities related to how they leverage exciting technologies across their business. As an intern in our Digital Risk practice, you will have the opportunity to help clients transform how they manage digital risks across AI, cyber, business applications, infrastructure, data, and third parties. This involves assessing, designing, and implementing governance, risk, and control programs. You will collaborate with clients from various sectors, ensuring they have robust risk reduction practices and solutions in place to enable, grow, and safeguard their business. ## Industry Sectors Our professionals are divided among three different industry sectors, and various opportunities are available to start your career. You will have the opportunity to express your preferences during the recruitment process. The sectors are defined as follows: - **Financial Services Organization (FSO):** Serves clients across Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, and Wealth & Asset Management. Within FSO, this opportunity sits within the Digital Risk and Cyber practice. - **National Consulting:** Serves clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Consumer, Retail, Health, Life Sciences, Industrial Products, Mobility, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Private Equity, Media, Technology, and Telecommunications. - **Government and Infrastructure (G&I):** Serves federal clients as well as state and local agencies and higher education institutions. ## Skills and Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must: - Be pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in management information systems/technology, computer science, business analytics, or a related discipline, with optional minors in finance, economics, business, or other related areas. - Have a passion for technology and an ardent desire to work in risk management. - Be able to analyze complicated financial, operational, and IT processes to find risks, evaluate controls that manage those risks, and spot weaknesses. - Know how to effectively leverage firm-approved AI tools to enhance problem-solving and productivity and have the ability to exercise sound judgment regarding AI-related risks and considerations. - Be able to assess and articulate the evolving risks that AI presents to clients across multiple risk domains. - Understand that the expectation for this role is in-person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week, depending on the needs of the engagement, project, or practice area. - Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended, as ride-share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations. - Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. - Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future. In addition to the qualifications listed above, candidates applying to the Government & Public Sector practice must: - Have U.S. citizenship and be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance or higher, within the designated timeframe, which will be determined by the engagement requirements for a security clearance.
