The CSA will be responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of customer requests and services, responding to inquiries in a timely fashion, and processing routine bank transactions. Prior experience as a Universal Banker, Relationship Banker, Customer Service Associate/Representative, or Financial Service Associate is a plus. **Compensation:** The hourly wage range is between $22 and $29. The exact pay will vary based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language needs, and location. **Application Requirement:** All applicants must attach a recent resume. ## Responsibilities - Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashier's checks, and night drop bags. - Reconcile cash drawers by proving cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins. - Perform all account services for Dime customers. - Respond to customer inquiries and provide in-depth knowledge of Dime products and services to offer appropriate solutions. - Support the Branch Manager's business development efforts through in-branch sales, phone, and direct mailing campaigns. - Report under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including requirements related to Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and Dime's internal Suspicious Activity Tracking Report. - Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity for SOX 404 purposes. - Maintain current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements. - Identify opportunities and service clients with consumer and commercial lending needs, referring them to the appropriate department. - Make operational decisions within the scope of authority (e.g., overdrafts, overrides, signature guarantees) when managers are absent. - Cross-train on both teller window functions and the banking platform as required. ## Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum of 1 year of retail banking experience required. - Cash-handling experience is preferred. - Excellent customer service skills. - Advanced proficiency preferred in PC, Network, E-Mail, Microsoft Director, Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Transaction Research. - Strong problem-solving skills to effectively resolve customer issues. - Thorough understanding of compliance and record-keeping requirements. ## Applying to this role This Customer Service Associate - Bronx Branch role at Dime Commercial Bank runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
