Once these expire, candidates must be able to present another valid form of work authorization. ## Location Hybrid ## Summer Internship Program WTW’s Summer Internship Program serves as the primary pipeline into our full-time Graduate Development Program (GDP) and is designed for university-level students primarily one year away from achieving their bachelor’s degree. The Summer Internship Program is an eight-week learning experience designed for students to gain an understanding of the evolving risk landscape. The internship provides undergraduate students with hands-on experience working with world-class clients and colleagues in the insurance industry. Interns work alongside senior leadership and add value to client-facing exposures, ranging from Fortune 500 accounts to small local businesses. In addition to core program components, interns are aligned with a specialized business area where they begin building a technical foundation and gain exposure to clients through meaningful assignments and projects. The program aims to create a collaborative community that contributes to the business through: - Various projects - Speaker series - Structured training - Case studies - Networking events - Structured orientation - Goal setting - Mentorship - Inclusion and diversity initiatives - Group presentations - Formal performance reviews ## Broking Placement Overview WTW’s Broking teams deliver superior results for clients’ business and risk management needs through deep, industry-specific expertise. Brokers help clients mitigate their total cost of risk. The brokerage team operates as the firm’s intellectual capital, working with clients to assess, model, and structure risk. Once risk has been modeled, brokers guide clients’ risks into the market, drawing on market relationships and negotiation skills to secure quotations from insurance carriers. While the nature of the work is similar day to day, no two placements are the same. Common tasks may include preparing and sending submissions, liaising with markets, analyzing exposures, working through risk models, and negotiating quotations. ## Responsibilities - Gather information and analytics to assess and evaluate client risks and support the placement of client risks into the market. - Create loss summaries, review program binders for accuracy, check policies, and assist brokers and senior brokers. - Assist with deliverables for client renewal strategy meetings and requests for proposals (RFPs). - Research market solutions to learn how to identify and develop optimal risk solutions for clients. - Participate in initial introductions to carriers and trading partners. - Develop an understanding of core insurance principles and brokerage concepts. - Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are followed. - Record and maintain all information accurately in the appropriate systems, including initial exposure to and use of the Broking Platform. - Demonstrate strong time and task management skills. - Take direction, receive constructive feedback, and deliver accurate work products. - Build relationships, maintain a customer focus, interface with customers, and collaborate internally with teammates to serve customers. ## Internship Experience At WTW, we offer students real-world business experience that is hard to find elsewhere.
