College interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through this program, interns can attend development workshops focused on key business concepts. Interns may work within the skills-based tracks of Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical and/or technical based degree programs. - This is a paid 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week). - Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical area. - Development workshops are provided to help with the transition from school to the corporate environment. - Housing is not provided as part of our program. ## Essential Accountabilities Specific duties will vary by assignment; specific divisional callouts are listed below. - Code development for test automation, including automating test cases or utilities for test automation and managing test result artifacts. - Synthetic data creation using in-house tools. - Participation in code reviews, requirement reviews, and documentation. - Working with a mentor and supporting key strategic projects. - Completing work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications. - Performing a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects. - Creating and delivering presentations upon completion of the internship. - Consistently demonstrating high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and upholding the Lifetime Way values and beliefs. - Maintaining confidentiality and protecting member privacy in accordance with company policies. - Maintaining regular and reliable attendance. - Performing other functions as assigned by management. ## Minimum Qualifications ### Education and Experience - **Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include:** Computing Sciences & Information Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.); Mathematics & Data Science (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, etc.) or similar programs. - High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program). - Must be in good academic standing. ### Skills and Abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all company levels. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. - Ability to work well in a team and establish good working relationships with peers. - Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. - Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks. - Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning. - Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter-departmental teams as needed. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. - Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment. ### Preferred Qualifications Preferred (but not required) experience with: Object oriented programming. Knowledge of: Java, Python, VBScript, SQL, Agile Methodologies, Software testing. ## Physical Requirements - Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, viewing a computer, and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time. - Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed. ## Compensation and EEO Information **Compensation Range:** Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00. The salary range indicated represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary will vary based on budget, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education relating to the minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects only one component of our total rewards package, which may also include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
