Interns gain the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and contribute to meaningful projects while receiving mentorship from their managers throughout the summer. Development workshops focus on key business concepts, helping interns transition from an academic setting to the corporate environment. Interns may work within skills-based tracks including Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and various other technical or non-technical degree programs. **Program Details:** - This is a paid 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week). - Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical area. - Housing is not provided as part of this program. ## Essential Accountabilities Specific duties will vary by assignment, with divisional callouts listed below. Interns are expected to: - Support the development and performance of monthly, quarterly, and potentially board reporting, including support for metric and ECO reporting internally. - Work with a mentor to support key strategic projects. - Complete work assignments based on departmental priorities, business needs, and individual qualifications. - Performs a mix of technical and non-technical tasks covering a broad range of business-related projects. - Create and deliver presentations upon completion of the internship. - Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the company's mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and embodying the core values. - Maintain strict confidentiality and protect member privacy in accordance with company policies. - Maintain regular and reliable attendance. - Perform other functions as assigned by management. ## Minimum Qualifications ### Desired Majors/Degree Programs Computing Sciences & Information Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.), Information Governance, or similar programs. ### Skills and Experience - Must be in good academic standing. - Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all company levels. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality work. - Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team and establish positive working relationships with peers. - Exhibit strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills. - Approach work proactively, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks. - Be committed to the continuous improvement of personal skills and team functioning. - Be self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as within intra- and inter-departmental teams as required. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and using a desktop computer in a professional environment is required. **Preferred (but not required) experience includes:** - Productivity tools (e.g., Excel). - Having taken courses in information security. ## Physical Requirements - Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time. - Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed. ## Compensation and EEO Information **Compensation Range:** Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00 The stated salary range reflects the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary will depend on factors including, but not limited to, budget availability, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education relative to the position's minimum qualifications, as well as internal equity.
