## Summer College Internship Program

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship designed for undergraduate and graduate students. This program offers interns the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and participate in meaningful projects while being mentored by respective managers throughout the summer.

Interns may work within skills-based tracks including, but not limited to: Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical or technical degree programs.

### Internship Details

    
- This is a paid 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
    
- Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical area.
    
- Development workshops are provided to assist with the transition from academic life to the corporate environment.
    
- Housing is not provided as part of this program.

## Essential Accountabilities

    
- Specific duties will vary based on assignment, with divisional callouts provided for relevant roles.
    
- The intern will be responsible for coordinating and verifying audit information sent to the BCBSA to support the FEP IPA audit, which includes data collection and accuracy/compliance verification.
    
- The intern will verify data submitted by other Operations Auditors and participate in the Dental Claims audit.
    
- Responsibilities include forwarding errors to the Operational area, responding to questions regarding findings, and helping compile month-end data.
    
- Interns will attend all Ops Audit meetings to review potential findings and solicit feedback.
    
- Work involves supporting key strategic projects alongside a mentor.
    
- Assignments are based on current business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
    
- The role requires performing a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across a broad range of business-related projects.
    
- Interns are expected to create and deliver a presentation upon completion of the internship.
    
- Must consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and embodying the Lifetime Way values.
    
- Must maintain the confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with company policies.
    
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
    
- Other functions as assigned by management.

## Minimum Qualifications

    
- **Education:** High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
    
- **Majors/Degree Programs Sought:** Business & Management (e.g., Finance, Actuarial, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, etc.); Mathematics & Data Science (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, etc.) or similar programs.
    
- **Skills & Experience (Preferred):** Working knowledge of Excel, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proficiency in teamwork, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
    
- **Core Competencies:**
        

            
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all company levels.
            
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality work product.
            
- Ability to work well in a team and establish strong working relationships with peers.
            
- Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
            
- Proactive approach to work, showing creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
            
- Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
            
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, as well as within intra- and inter-departmental teams as required.
        

    
    
- **Technical Requirements:** Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

## Physical Requirements

    
- Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
    
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.

## Compensation and Additional Information

**Compensation Range:** Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00

The salary range listed represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary depends on factors including budget availability, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education related to the minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted range is only one component of the total rewards package, which may include group health/dental insurance, retirement plan participation, wellness programs, paid time off, and paid holidays.
