Through structured onboarding, development initiatives, cross-functional networking opportunities, project showcases, and an intern alumni community, you'll gain valuable exposure, build meaningful connections, and develop skills for your future career. ## Job Profile Summary As a Front Office Support (FOS) Intern, you will support the Financial Markets (FM) Sales and Trading businesses across a wide range of front office support, client lifecycle, control, reporting, and operational activities. You will work closely with Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Risk, KYC, and other support functions to help ensure the efficient functioning of FM business activities and processes. ## What will you be doing? - Support Financial Markets Sales and Trading desks in day-to-day front office support and control activities. - Assist in trade validation and trade lifecycle management processes across Financial Markets systems and products. - Work closely with FX, Rates, Structured Products, Fixed Income, and Global Securities Finance (GSF) desks to support business activities and operational workflows. - Monitor and support lifecycle events including rate fixings, option exercises, corporate actions, and settlements. - Assist in validating trade economics, settlement calculations, and reconciliation of structured product cash flows with Operations teams. - Support collateral management activities, including monitoring and reporting for non-cash collateral portfolios within the Asia Global Securities Finance business. - Prepare, maintain, and distribute daily management information and control reports, including: - P&L Flash Reports - FX Option Expiry Reports - Trade Cancel and Amend Reports - Other desk and management reporting requirements - Assist in investigating discrepancies and escalating issues to relevant stakeholders where required. - Provide administrative and operational support to Front Office teams, including workflow requests, reference data maintenance, and Financial Markets deal capture code setup. ### Client & Stakeholder Management Support - Support the Front Office Support team in acting as a key coordination point between Front Office and various support and advisory functions. - Assist in coordinating and tracking urgent operational issues and escalations related to settlements, reporting, client onboarding, and trading activities. - Assist with the implementation of regulatory requirements and business initiatives impacting the Financial Markets client base. - Support periodic client remediation, data quality, and regulatory review exercises affecting Financial Markets clients. ### Governance, Controls & Projects - Assist in maintaining procedures, operational guidelines, and control documentation. - Participate in business initiatives, process improvement projects, automation efforts, and digitalisation activities to enhance operational efficiency. ## What do we ask of you? (Skills & Specifications) - Undergraduate degree in an economic, finance, or science/mathematical discipline. - Previous banking internships would be an advantage. - Highly skilled in Excel Spreadsheets; working with macros is preferred. - PowerPoint skills to produce marketing and sales pitch books. - Fluent in spoken and written English. - Detail-oriented, systematic, and strong analytical skills. ## What would you gain from this internship? - Exposure to Financial Markets products including FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Structured Products, and Securities Financing. - Understanding of the end-to-end trade and client lifecycle within a global financial institution. - Hands-on experience working with Sales, Trading, Operations, and Client Management teams. - Exposure to front office controls, regulatory processes, client onboarding, and business transformation initiatives. - Opportunities to contribute to process improvement, automation, and strategic projects within the Financial Markets business. ## Need more information?
