This programme begins with an organisation-wide induction on Monday, 20th September 2027 (attendance is required). We are the only UK mid-market organisation with over £1bn in turnover and 8,000 people. Audit at BDO offers you the chance to gain hands-on experience from day one. Our Audit teams cover specialist areas including Pension Audit, Public Sector, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, and Technology Risk Assurance, providing insight into how different organisations operate internally. You will be trusted to contribute from the start, but you will learn alongside experienced colleagues. We provide the support system necessary for you to build confidence through practical experience while having people available to answer questions and aid your development. This is a place to transform big ambitions into a successful career, with people personally invested in your growth. ## About Audit and the Programme Over four years, you will gain extensive, hands-on experience while working towards your ACA, CFAB, or ICAS/RGU qualification. You will develop technical, personal, and commercial skills by engaging in challenging Audit work and building client relationships. As you start your career straight from school, support is integral to the experience. You will join a trainee community, pursuing your qualifications alongside peers and learning from colleagues at all levels. Our early careers team emphasizes that trainees are trusted with client work earlier than anticipated, supported by cohesive teams and a comfortable environment for asking questions. You will build your career foundations by performing the actual work, with continuous coaching and support to grow your confidence. Please note that you must live within a commutable distance of the office you apply to. Relocation support is not provided, so please consider this carefully. As in-person time is vital for learning from your team and building relationships, this work requires significant presence, either in the office or with clients. ## Candidate Requirements To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria: - Three A-levels (or equivalent) at A*-C (excluding General Studies and Extended Projects), or four Scottish Advanced Highers at grade A-B (or equivalent, such as a BTEC Extended Diploma). Evidence will be required upon offer. Please note that UCAS points are not used. - GCSEs at grade 4 and above in Maths and English, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C. Evidence will be required upon offer. - A commitment to balancing study commitments with professional work. - The legal right to work in the UK. (We cannot provide visa sponsorship for these roles due to not meeting the current Home Office minimum salary requirements for sponsorship. Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the UK for the entire 4-year training contract and employment period.) ## Compensation and Benefits ### Salary The salary offered is £26,615 - £28,275, depending on location.
