KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Trade and Customs practice. ## Responsibilities - Advise clients on import and export matters across various industries. - Examine U.S. and international import and export trade matters. - Research, write, and review international trade advice. - Formulate ideas and deliver potential trade savings opportunities. - Assist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and enhance satisfaction. - Support clients with the implementation of global trade automated solutions. - Build capabilities in key enabling technologies for tax professionals, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more. ## Qualifications ### Required Education and Skills - Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Business (Supply Chain, Logistics, or other business-related major), International Affairs (International Studies, Political Science), International Trade, Data, or a related field, or an equivalent program. - Upon completion of this internship, candidates must still have academic credits pending to complete their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements. - Strong in technical acumen, business sense, critical thinking, and agility. Demonstrated ability to drive strategic outcomes with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment. - Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to learn technologies such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI. Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and applying emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights. - Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; feedback-oriented and resourceful in delivering high-quality work. - Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using personal vehicle or public transportation. - Must be able to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
