## Job Summary

The Management Consulting (MC) Intern utilizes their educational background and organizational skills to assist the MC practice in one of the following segments: Healthcare Consulting, Operational Excellence, Transformation & Technology, Strategy & Innovation, People Strategy & Solutions, Turnaround & Restructuring, or Human Capital Management. The intern is expected to focus primarily on one segment of the practice.

  
- Healthcare Consulting — Improving financial and clinical performance for healthcare providers.
  
- Operational Excellence — Driving financial, operational, and technology improvement.
  
- Transformation & Technology — Selecting and implementing the right software, tools, and vendors to support businesses.
  
- Strategy & Innovation — Enhancing strategic agility, clarifying vision, and driving profitable growth for clients.
  
- People Strategy & Solutions — Helping clients succeed on the people side of business through integrated culture, leadership, talent, and communications solutions.
  
- Turnaround & Restructuring — Bringing strategic stability to distressed organizations.
  
- Human Capital Management — Helping organizations attract the right people, retain them, and facilitate their growth.

The MC Intern will be part of a team serving the firm’s client base alongside experienced colleagues who provide direction, coaching, and learning opportunities.

## Job Duties

  
- Assist with informational interviews and the facilitation of client meetings during the engagement process.
  
- Assist with documenting project requirements and business processes.
  
- Assist with developing initial deliverables and solutions to client issues.
  
- Take meeting minutes and prepare meeting summaries for presentation to clients.
  
- Leverage templates to prepare drafts of reports, presentations, and other documentation.
  
- Utilize research tools, databases, and trade publications to develop an understanding of clients’ industries.
  
- Assist with research and drafting proposals.
  
- Assist with documentation and work papers associated with client engagements.
  
- Perform other duties as required.

## Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

### Education

  
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program is required. A focus in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Communications, Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Health Sciences, or another relevant field of study is preferred.

### Experience

  
- Project delivery experience preferred.
  
- Leadership experience preferred.

### Licenses and Certifications

None.

### Software

  
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.

### Language

None.

### Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly business and report writing.
  
- Ability to work effectively within a team setting.
  
- Strong analytical and basic research skills.
  
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines with attention to detail.
  
- Ability to multitask successfully while working independently or within a group environment.
  
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  
- Ability to travel based on client and practice needs.

## Compensation

Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after consideration of numerous factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

  
- California: $39.00/hr–$45.00/hr
  
- Colorado: $34.00/hr–$38.00/hr
  
- Illinois: $36.00/hr–$40.00/hr
  
- Maryland: $34.00/hr–$38.00/hr
  
- Massachusetts: $36.00/hr–$40.00/hr
  
- Minnesota: $32.00/hr–$36.00/hr
  
- New Jersey: $38.00/hr–$42.00/hr
  
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $34.00/hr–$40.00/hr
  
- Virginia: $34.00/hr–$39.00/hr
  
- Washington: $35.00/hr–$40.00/hr
  
- Washington, DC: $34.00/hr–$38.00/hr
