It enables government agencies to create high-quality and reliable services for citizens using commercial cloud services. The GCC Engineering Team develops the platform automations, processes, toolchains, and policies and best practices required to enable government agencies to develop, deploy, and operate government services on the cloud in an agile yet secure manner. This role offers many opportunities to make a difference. ### What to Expect - Participate in an in-house engineering squad focused on engineering excellence in the design, development, and operation of the Singapore Government Commercial Cloud Platform. - Practise and lead development communities in developing and deploying solutions on Government Commercial Cloud. - Learn and implement large-scale automation with cloud landing zones across multiple cloud service providers in a government context. - Develop and maintain the platform used by multiple government agencies. - Serve as a subject matter expert in DevOps methodologies and contribute to automation, availability, scalability, and resiliency across the team and government development communities. - Develop APIs and backend automation using Node.js or Python, and implement secure code deployment with various CI/CD toolchains, such as GitLab, Atlassian, and Terraform. ## What We Are Looking For - Hands-on experience in API and backend development and integration using Node.js or Python, with experience in TypeScript or JavaScript frameworks and modern build tools such as Webpack and Vite. - Experience practising agile development, secure pipelines, and deployment automation. - Understanding of, and willingness to learn about, Infrastructure as Code, Policies as Code, and Git. - Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Appreciation of, or willingness to learn about, large-scale distributed systems and their challenges. - Familiarity with code security and open-source tools in relevant domains. - Experience with Terraform and Bash scripting is an advantage. - Understanding of cloud landing zones, such as Control Tower, Terraform Landing Zone, and Microsoft Azure CAF, is an advantage. - Experience practising Site Reliability Engineering principles and familiarity with application monitoring tools are advantages. ## How to Succeed - Demonstrate a strong understanding of and appreciation for a positive team culture, with a commitment to growing and coaching staff. - Show a passion for automating large-scale systems while ensuring that they are highly secure, resilient, and available. - Have strong communication skills and believe in the work you do. - Be an exceptional team player whose primary focus is leveraging your experience to help the team succeed. - Be a strong, hands-on contributor in all your work. - Advocate for sound engineering and DevOps principles. ## What We Offer You GovTech is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diverse voices and perspectives.
