For almost twenty years, we have brought on ambitious and aspiring investors each year to join our program as a foray into their careers. While there are skills and lessons learned in school, essential elements of venture capital—such as developing investment judgment, identifying emerging startups, and refining roadmaps for the future—are best learned on the job by engaging with entrepreneurs and experienced investors. Analysts typically join our selective, two-year program directly from or shortly after completing undergraduate studies. The program is based in our New York office, though analysts collaborate on projects with other Bessemer investment professionals globally and work with world-class company founders and executives. The BVP partners and broader investing team provide hands-on training, mentorship on the art of the industry, and invaluable experience. Our analysts are critical members of our team; they participate in weekly partnership meetings and make a tremendous impact on the firm. ## 2027 Summer Analyst Position Details Analysts often serve as the first point of contact for startup founders at Bessemer. The role requires an enterprising spirit, empathy, and a deep understanding of how a business functions internally. - **Employment Type:** Short Term, Full-time Employee - **Location:** On Site, New York City, NY - **Duration:** 10 weeks (June 2027 - August 2027) - **Schedule:** Monday-Friday ## A Day in the Life Daily responsibilities include sourcing new companies, conducting deep research during the diligence, roadmap, and deal-making processes, and working with BVP team members to help our portfolio companies flourish. The experience gained in this program is foundational to your career, opening endless possibilities whether you continue with Bessemer or pursue opportunities elsewhere. - Interact with 100+ CEOs to identify seed-stage to Series C startups across various industries: consumer internet and e-commerce, mobile and cloud computing, business software, healthcare, and cleantech. - Work closely with the firm’s partners to conduct due diligence on discovered investment opportunities and help develop new investment roadmaps. - Develop an aptitude for identifying exciting sectors and business opportunities in the innovation economy, build a deep understanding of business models, and grow an extensive network of entrepreneurs and VC colleagues. ## Benefits of the Summer Analyst Position By joining Bessemer’s Analyst Program, you become part of a close-knit community of investors, experts, and operators shaping category-defining companies at the cutting edge of technology.
