We operate with a commitment to integrity, sustainability, and community giving. **Location:** Singapore **Department:** NAND Validation and Characterization **Project Title:** Functional Validation and Characterization of Advanced NAND Products The intern will undertake a structured engineering project within the NAND Validation and Characterization team, gaining practical exposure to the functional and design validation of advanced NAND products. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, the intern will learn how engineering teams evaluate NAND functionality using silicon and simulation platforms. The project scope includes validation test development, characterization, failure investigation, data analysis, and test automation. ## Project Objectives - Develop an understanding of functional and design validation methodologies for advanced NAND products. - Apply engineering fundamentals to evaluate NAND commands, features, timing, performance, and power behavior. - Build practical programming and data-analysis skills through a defined validation automation project. - Contribute project findings and recommendations that may improve validation efficiency and test coverage. ## Project Scope - Develop and execute functional and design validation tests for advanced NAND products using silicon and simulation platforms. - Create usage-case tests and random-sequence validation tests to evaluate NAND commands and product features. - Investigate selected validation failures through log review, data analysis, experiment design, and root-cause analysis. - Conduct performance, timing, and power characterization for defined NAND use cases. - Develop or enhance automation scripts and engineering tools using Python, C, C++, Perl, or other relevant programming languages. ## Learning Opportunities - Gain hands-on exposure to semiconductor product validation, characterization, and debugging methodologies. - Learn how silicon and simulation platforms are used to evaluate NAND functionality and design behavior. - Develop experience in test automation, engineering data analysis, and technical visualization. - Learn to document technical findings and communicate results to engineering stakeholders. ## Deliverables - A documented set of functional or design validation tests for the assigned NAND features. - An automation script or engineering tool that improves the efficiency or repeatability of selected validation activities. - A technical analysis of characterization results or selected validation failures. - A final report and presentation summarizing the project methodology, findings, and recommendations. ## Project Impact - Improve validation efficiency and repeatability through structured test development and automation. - Provide additional engineering insights into NAND functionality, performance, timing, or power behavior. - Contribute to improved validation coverage and earlier identification of potential product issues. ## Qualifications and Requirements ### Skillsets Required - Basic understanding of digital design, semiconductor devices, computer architecture, or semiconductor testing. - Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, C, C++, or Perl. - Knowledge of Verilog or SystemVerilog is advantageous. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. - Familiarity with data-analysis tools or AI-enabled workflows for engineering data exploration is advantageous but not required. ### Education and Commitment The ideal candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
