For more information, visit www.gf.com. ## Your Job Responsibilities - Product and layout study - Analyze layout and convert to basic schematics - Understand circuit function and relate it to failure signatures - Generate reports and highlight key issues - Conduct Failure Characterization on Test - Guide test engineering to set up test programs for failure validation - Develop characterization plans to study failure signatures - Analyze data using statistical software such as Excel and JMP to determine the criticality of failed dies - Study inline data or process/product engineering feedback on failure suspects - Propose possible approaches to debug issues - Debug on static and dynamic Electromigration Failure Analysis (EFA) - Set up for static and dynamic EFA - Able to perform sanity checks of setups - Interpret signal images - Perform simple trace analysis to postulate Permanent Failure Analysis (PFA) or nanoprobing regions of interest - Collaborate with designers to propose failure mechanisms for further failure analysis activities to validate ## Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, circuit design, fabrication processes, and device physics. - Programming knowledge is a plus (Perl, VBA, C language). - Possess a good working attitude and the ability to take ownership in projects. - Proactive in facing and overcoming roadblocks. - Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
