## About The Role

The Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment is seeking a Project Assistant to support their teams, manage client processes, and ensure the smooth functioning of projects. The candidate must be experienced in supporting senior management at a high level, be highly numerate, possess good written skills, the ability to take initiative, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

The key focus of the role will be to manage and coordinate the administration of client processes so that project and billing arrangements are centralized, organized, timely, and efficient. Whilst not requiring financial qualifications, the successful candidate will have experience and a keen interest in bringing rigour to project delivery processes, including managing project setup from the initial sales lead and conflict checks to managing the full commercial life cycle of a project, including cost and fee reconciliations, subcontractor arrangements, invoicing, and WIP management, and ensuring efficient project closure.

The role may involve occasional Executive Assistant (EA) support to the FLC team leadership, as well as ad hoc cover of various processes, initiatives, and internal projects as required.

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential. The nature of the business is driven by client deadlines, and on occasion, the successful candidate may be required to work outside of core hours at short notice. This role is suited to someone who enjoys a full, varied, and sometimes deadline-driven day. The successful candidate will be self-assured, flexible, reliable, possess a positive demeanor, and have a keen interest in the financial management of projects.

## What You'll Do

- Provide end-to-end client and project commercial management process support, overseeing the project life cycle, delivery assurance, and best practice processes.

- Open client projects within our CRM system, following the internal setup process from start to finish on a high volume of client projects, ensuring all project details are correct on internal systems according to the Letter of Engagement (LoE).

- Update project trackers as required.

- Ensure subcontractors are successfully and efficiently onboarded using the internal onboarding system, working closely with our Human Resources team to ensure subcontractor contracts are kept up to date and are in accordance with IR35.

- Manage subcontractor trackers and collate and process complex subcontractor invoices, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.

- Financial reporting, including pulling client matter reports for the team, pulling Work in Progress (WIP) reports, project cost management, and financial management.

- Prepare in-flight status reporting for clients as required.

- Client billing, working closely with the team to draft and finalize monthly client invoices and manage sending these to clients alongside the central team.

- Continual follow-up with clients on invoice status until receipt of payment.

- Provide information for revenue recognition colleagues and assist with troubleshooting.

- Liaise with finance regarding write-offs and reserves and provide commentary.

- Manage communications surrounding Accounts Receivable (AR) internally and to clients.

- Manage the project closure process.

- Provide occasional EA cover, including taking meeting notes, diary management, time entry, and travel arrangements.

- Assist with internal processes, initiatives, and projects as required.

- Assist with new joiner training from the project financial management perspective and associated processes and systems.

- Assist with ad hoc requests.
