Morgan Equity Research team in Hong Kong, specializing in fundamental equity research. If you are passionate and driven to set and achieve challenging goals, you have found the right team. As an Analyst in the Equity Research team, you will leverage advanced tools, models, and data to provide clients with original and actionable insights, reports, commentaries, and strategies. Our team is dedicated to delivering first-class research, which is core to our value proposition and what our clients expect from us. ## Responsibilities - Contribute to thematic sector reports and collaborate on cross-sector projects with other teams. - Handle day-to-day client requests and needs efficiently. - Communicate your team’s ideas persuasively to internal and external stakeholders, tailoring communications to client needs. - Organize fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings in response to bespoke client requests or for investor tours. - Suggest new approaches and ideas to enhance the franchise as a business. - Understand and adhere to the firm’s risk management policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. ## Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - At least one year of experience with proven analytical skills, including but not limited to accounting and finance. - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a data science-related field. - Ability to independently arrange fact-finding trips and channel-check meetings. - Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills. - Ability to complete a robust model, including base and sensitivity cases, from start to finish with minimal guidance, demonstrating mastery of the model’s key levers. - Ability to discuss in detail the fundamentals and drivers of your industry or country, including the competitive landscape and risks, and to understand the drivers of relevant markets in order to explain and anticipate market movements. - Ability to synthesize disparate pieces of information and articulate a compelling thesis or argument clearly and cogently. - Proficiency in Mandarin, with the ability to read and analyze Chinese-language company disclosures and engage with Mandarin-speaking clients and corporate representatives. ## Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills - Strong preference for candidates with data science or consulting backgrounds who can think outside the box and conduct non-consensus or thematic research. - Creativity in solving problems and a consistent willingness to identify new ways of working. - Ability to thrive under competitive pressure while remaining focused on client needs. - Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management. - CFA or CPA certification, or progress toward a CFA or CPA, is a plus. ## About J.P.
