The ideal candidate must complete their graduation requirement by September 2026 and be available to start the position from October 2026 onwards. This trainee program begins as a one-year contract with the possibility of extension up to two years, subject to performance and business needs. _Please apply for this role on our Career Website and complete the required form to ensure your application is considered complete._ ## Key Responsibilities ### During an audit assignment The Auditor (Trainee) is responsible for carrying out audit work under supervision, adhering to established timeframes, IGE methodology, and Internal Audit standards. This includes: - Independently participating in audit planning and fieldwork as assigned by the Lead Auditor, encompassing: - Performing a preliminary assessment of the audited activity to highlight related risks and controls. - Testing and analyzing the results of controls defined in the audit program. - Clearly and precisely documenting the controls performed and the conclusions reached in the test sheets. - Identifying and reporting strengths and weaknesses in audited areas, analyzing the root causes and consequences of these weaknesses, and formalizing remediation and recommendations. This also includes concluding on the effectiveness and efficiency of control setups and business practices. - Presenting audit conclusions to IGE management and the management of the audited unit (e.g., debriefing presentation, final audit report). - Keeping the Lead Auditor or Local Head of Audit informed of the progress of assigned audit work, escalating any issues that may impact or delay the audit execution, or any other relevant matters concerning the assigned audit's risk and control environment. - Conducting follow-ups on recommendations to monitor if adequate corrective actions have been taken before closing them. - Ensuring the proper archiving of all supporting documentation, audit evidence, and deliverables. ### IGE Continuous Improvement Program / Transversal Topics The Auditor (Trainee) contributes to the continuous improvement of IGE methodologies and processes by: - Preparing or updating audit guides or scorecards related to specific activities based on existing knowledge, documentation, and interviews. - Monitoring the implementation of issued recommendations. - Building and sharing institutional knowledge. - Participating in one or more knowledge communities within IGE. ## Candidate Criteria ### Education and Experience - **Academic Qualification:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, accounting, business, finance, engineering, or a related field. - **Experience Level:** 0-2 years of experience. - **Minimal Experience:** Less than 12 months of full-time experience (though the ideal candidate should have completed their degree requirement by the start date). ### Required Skills and Competencies - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Detail-oriented approach. - Ability to work effectively under time pressure. - Strong team player attitude. - Proficiency in verbal and written communication. - Basic understanding of banking and finance activities. ### Technical Skills and Languages - **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - **Languages:** Fluent in English. ## Applying to this role This Audit Trainee (One Year Contract) role at Crédit Agricole runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
