## Business Tax Services

## Responsibilities

  
- Support tax transformation projects by mapping current-state processes and identifying pain points, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  
- Assist in designing future-state, AI-driven tax experiences, processes, operating models, workflows, and documentation in collaboration with senior team members and technology specialists.
  
- Help integrate finance and tax processes across record-to-report activities, including documenting transaction flows, system touchpoints, and tax reporting requirements.
  
- Support tax workstream integrations by gathering process and systems information and helping standardize tax operations after transactions.
  
- Assist with tax controls, risk assessments, Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), control testing, monitoring dashboards, and compliance documentation for the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Information Technology General Controls (ITGC), and global governance requirements.
  
- Use artificial intelligence, data, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and tax systems, and automation tools to support analysis, reconciliations, system testing, documentation, auditor requests, and tax process improvement initiatives.
  
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

## Qualifications

  
- At least one year of recent professional experience, preferably in a role combining business development, entrepreneurial thinking, processes, and technology.
  
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business or technology.
  
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive projects forward.
  
- Experience working with large volumes of data concurrently.
  
- Knowledge of tax services fundamentals and the ability to apply that knowledge to technology solutions preferred.
  
- Experience in a client-facing position within a professional services firm preferred.
  
- Experience collaborating on cross-functional team projects to develop innovative marketing strategies.
  
- Experience developing solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to drive organizational efficiency through agents and other AI-driven workflows.
  
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  
- Strong aptitude for technology and the ability to quickly master new software platforms.

Depending on job classification, standard work hours, and years of service, KPMG provides paid time off per fiscal year. Salary ranges by city outside California are available at KPMG Pay Transparency. Offered salary is determined by factors including skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, degrees and certifications, and market considerations.
