KPMG is currently seeking a Technology Assurance Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team. ## Responsibilities - Work as part of a team to conduct IT audits, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of client financial information while upholding principles of objectivity and independence to serve the capital markets. - Contribute to the overall effectiveness of client operations while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity. - Prepare clear and well-structured documentation regarding the understanding of client processes and Information Technology (IT) systems, primarily for financial services clients. - Execute and document testing of client IT controls using appropriate standards and terminology, with appropriate guidance. - Support data-driven audits by utilizing a range of technologies and data analysis tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), BOTs, Dashboards, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI. - Utilize technology, systems, tools, and innovations in support of engagement activities with appropriate guidance. ## Qualifications and Requirements ### Education and Experience - Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or an equivalent program. - Information Systems with an Accounting double major is preferred. - Upon internship completion, candidates must have sufficient academic credits remaining to complete their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements. - Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday is preferred. ### Skills and Abilities - Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above. - Ability to leverage common business technologies (including MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel, AI, and data analysis) and quickly learn KPMG tools and applications used by clients. - Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills; demonstrated ability to drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic environment. - Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to apply professional judgment and skepticism, manage priorities across multiple tasks, and deliver high-quality work in a professional services capacity. ### Logistical Requirements - Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using one's own transportation. - Technology Assurance professionals are expected to work in-person at a KPMG office or client site an average of three days per week; some client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stays (varies by office). - Applicant must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
