KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join our Global Mobility Services practice.

## Responsibilities

    
- Leverage diverse skill sets to provide international companies with global tax, compensation, benefits, and HR-related services while working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    
- Serve as a direct contact to compile and calculate compensation and benefit deductions and costs, review compensation provisions, assess applicable tax rules, support Mergers & Acquisitions due diligence regarding employee compensation and employer benefits, and participate in drafting white papers/reports on relevant global rewards topics.
    
- Collaborate with KPMG offices globally to provide guidance and worldwide coordination for mobility tax support; work with tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies to manage the tax implications of their global workforce.
    
- Participate in and contribute to external market and business activities.
    
- Build capabilities in key technologies enabling tax professionals for client service delivery, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.

## Qualifications

    
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or an equivalent program.
    
- Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have sufficient academic credits remaining to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
    
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
    
- Coursework or a minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics is preferred.
    
- Strong analytical, consultative, and project management skills, with the ability to research and analyze tax issues, rules, and regulations and provide clear communication of results to colleagues or clients.
    
- Strong technical aptitude, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility. Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment.
    
- Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to learn and navigate technologies such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI, MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), and to apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights.
    
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; must be feedback-oriented and resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
    
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using personal means of transportation (e.g., personal vehicle or public transportation).
    
- Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with relatively short notice.
    
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. **California Salary Range: $84,000 - $100,000**
