KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Intern to join our Global Mobility Services practice.

## Responsibilities

    
- Provide support to KPMG's Global Mobility Services tax professionals regarding tax compliance and tax advisory services rendered to multinational companies and their mobile employees working across borders internationally (assigned outside their home countries) or domestically for state-to-state business travelers.
    
- Collaborate with KPMG's Global Mobility Services tax professionals to support tax and human resource professionals within multinational companies in managing the tax implications of their global workforce.
    
- Prepare client correspondence and calculations on various international assignment matters, including policy issues, cost projections, tax settlements, and tax reconciliations.
    
- Analyze and track expatriate payroll, compensation, benefits, global mobility, and other assignment-related issues.
    
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and track global mobility tax compliance status and other assignment-related projects.
    
- Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI, and more.

## Qualifications

### Required Education and Skills

    
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree.
    
- Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
    
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
    
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using personal transportation or public transportation.
    
- Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
    
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.

### Preferred Qualifications and Competencies

    
- Coursework or concentration in Tax, Accounting, International Business, Economics, Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration.
    
- Coursework or a minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data and analytics.
    
- Knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility, and tax.
    
- Foreign language skills.
    
- Strong technical, business acumen, critical thinking, and agility skills.
    
- Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach in a dynamic, evolving environment.
    
- Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to learn and navigate technologies such as AI, Alteryx, and Power BI, MS Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), and apply emerging technologies to enhance tax processes and insights.
    
- Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; feedback oriented and resourceful in delivering high-quality work.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and market considerations. KPMG offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package, including medical and dental plans, vision coverage, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plans, and personal well-being benefits. Depending on job classification, standard work hours, and years of service, KPMG provides Personal Time Off per fiscal year, plus two paid breaks annually.
