## Intern - Economic and Valuation Services

KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Economic and Valuation Services practice. We foster a collaborative, team-driven culture where our people are our top priority. Valuation professionals at KPMG provide clients robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages, and business needs. We determine the fair (market) value of equity shares, assets, or complex financial instruments for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax, and regulatory standards. Engagements include providing pre and post-deal Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, employee or management incentive scheme valuations, and recurring fund valuations. As a member of our diverse team, you will help high-profile clients understand, analyze, and respond to complex business opportunities and challenges. ## Responsibilities

    
- Analyze financial information to forecast business conditions and develop financial analytics solutions for strategic and management planning, investment appraisal, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions (including integrations and divestitures).
    
- Interpret data on future risk trends, economic influences, and other factors to identify issues and propose related strategies for executed procedures.
    
- Evaluate current and historical financial data.
    
- Study economic and business trends.
    
- Stay abreast of current business and economic developments, using technology and tools to innovate and enhance the effectiveness of services provided.
    
- Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress and demonstrating in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
    
- Build capabilities in key technologies enabling client service delivery, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, and Power BI.

## Qualifications and Requirements

### Education and Experience

    
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent.
    
- Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits required before obtaining their degree and/or meeting CPA eligibility requirements.
    
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.

### Technical Skills

    
- Experience or coursework building financial analytics models and tools from scratch in MS Excel.
    
- Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: VBA, MS Access, SQL Server, artificial intelligence (AI), Data Visualization applications (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire), and Alteryx.
    
- Proficiency in developing and explaining fully integrated 3-Statement financial models in Microsoft Excel.
    
- Experience or coursework working with a formal business modeling and analytics practice within investment banking, commercial banking, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, or consulting, or experience within an in-house corporate development or FP&A team.

### Logistical Requirements

    
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation (personal vehicle or public transportation).
    
- Must have the ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
    
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
