Our long-term goal is to build a better financial system. Our flagship product, Phoenix Perpetuals, brings professional-grade perpetual futures to Solana. Building on our experience developing efficient markets, Ellipsis Labs also operates SolFi, a proprietary automated market maker that provides efficient liquidity for key trading pairs. Our foundational product, Phoenix Legacy, is a limit order book on the Solana blockchain that established our expertise in operating high-performance markets. Combined, these products have facilitated over $285B in trading volume across Solana markets. This role will begin as a contract position, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role based on mutual fit. Ellipsis Labs is seeking an Operations Associate to join our team. You'll be the operational backbone of the company, owning the systems and day-to-day execution that lets a fast-growing startup run smoothly, from office operations to executive support to recruiting logistics. This is a high-visibility generalist role: you'll get exposure to how every part of the company runs, with real ownership from day one and room to build and improve the processes as we scale. ## Responsibilities ### Office Operations - Own the day-to-day operations that keep our office running well, including proactively ensuring space needs are met. - Manage inventory, including laptop procurement and coordinating repairs or replacements for equipment. - Partner with the team to craft best-in-class events, end-to-end. - Own the guest experience. - Manage all team food logistics, including daily lunch and dinner, and keeping snacks and drinks stocked. - Support the logistics and administrative work of an upcoming office move. ### Recruiting Operations - Work with the Head of Talent on interview scheduling and on-site coordination. - Maintain clean and up-to-date recruiting systems. - Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees. ### Executive Support - Manage the co-founders' calendars. - Schedule business dinners as needed. - Handle one-off administrative requests as they arise. ## Qualifications - Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills: you naturally look for ways to turn ad hoc work into repeatable processes. - A demonstrated bias toward action: you take ownership of a problem and follow it through without needing constant direction. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - High discretion and sound judgment, particularly concerning confidential calendar and business information. - Comfortable taking on any task, big or small, from hands-on work like restocking and setup to higher-level project management. - Natural project and vendor management instincts, with the ability to set clear expectations and hold vendors accountable. - Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift daily. ## Applying to this role This Operations Associate role at Ellipsis Labs runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
