## Role details

## Core Platform IT Business Analyst

The Core Platform IT Business Analyst will support and enhance JERAGM's core ETRM and trading systems landscape, with a particular focus on physical LNG, coal, and freight portfolios. The role will work closely with business users and IT delivery teams to analyse requirements, manage system enhancements, support valuations functionality, and deliver changes across the end-to-end physical and financial trade lifecycle.

## Key Responsibilities

    
- Work with business users to understand requirements, identify process gaps, and translate needs into clear business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
    
- Lead requirements-gathering workshops and create supporting documentation such as user stories, backlogs, worked examples, mock-ups, test cases, and functional specifications.
    
- Perform hands-on system and data analysis to support changes to ETRM applications, valuations processes, configuration, and related functionality.
    
- Document and manage system change requests through JIRA, working with IT delivery teams to break down, estimate, prioritise, and track changes.
    
- Act as a functional subject matter expert during development, testing, and delivery, supporting both agile and waterfall project approaches.
    
- Coordinate testing activities, including functional testing, SIT, regression testing, and UAT, ensuring appropriate business sign-off is obtained.
    
- Support release planning, go-live activity, and post-release hypercare, including user support and training documentation.
    
- Work with IT Support to investigate issues, identify root causes, provide 3rd line support, and escalate fixes into the small change backlog.
