## Summary

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid experience offering undergraduate and graduate students the chance to attend development workshops, network, and be an active part of our company. College interns work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship from their managers, and continue to develop throughout the summer. Through this program, interns attend development workshops focused on key business concepts. Interns may work within skills-based tracks including Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical or technical degree programs.

- This is a paid, 10-week summer internship running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).

- Interns may be placed in either a technical or non-technical area.

- Development workshops are provided to help facilitate the transition from academia to the corporate environment.

- Housing is not provided as part of this program.

## Essential Accountabilities

Specific duties will vary by assignment, with detailed divisional callouts provided below. General accountabilities include:

- Assisting in the development of rate or Medicare bid filings through analysis of benefit designs, claims experience, and expected future events.

- Assisting in the preparation of accurate and timely trend analyses.

- Assisting in the development of preliminary reserve and future claim liabilities for internal and regulatory reporting.

- Supporting the analysis of health plan impacts in response to regulatory changes.

- Assisting in the preparation of risk adjustment analyses.

- Supporting risk sharing analyses, capitation development, and associated settlements.

- Assisting in performing analyses used in financial planning, forecasting, and other financial projections.

- Preparing and/or maintaining appropriate documentation of work.

- Completing and/or supporting ad-hoc analyses and projects, and assisting others in the department as needed.

- Working with a mentor to support key strategic projects.

- Completing work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.

- Performing a mix of technical and non-technical tasks across a broad range of business-related projects.

- Creating and delivering a final presentation at the completion of the internship.

- Consistently demonstrating high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and upholding the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

- Maintaining confidentiality and protecting member privacy in accordance with company policies.

- Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.

- Performing other functions as assigned by management.

## Minimum Qualifications

- Desired majors include: Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial, & Statistics.

- Must possess a High School diploma and proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).

- Must be in good academic standing.

- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail in a changing environment and delivering high-quality work product.

- Ability to work well in a team, establishing good working relationships with peers.

- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

- Maintains a proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.

- Shows commitment to the continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.

- Is self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter-departmental teams as needed.

- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

## Physical Requirements

- Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.

- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.

## Compensation and EEO Information

### Compensation Range

Level I - Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
