Posted 2024-05-08; applications close 2026-10-19. **Apply**: https://jobs.standardchartered.com/job/Kwun-Tong-Customer-Service-Ambassador/794432602/?feedId=363857&utm_source=CareerSite Posted 2y ago. ## Role details ## Key Responsibilities ### Strategy - Provide quality services and assist in upselling and cross-selling financial products and services to customers transacting at branches. - Assist the Senior Branch Operations & Service Manager by: - Achieving or exceeding set business targets. - Controlling and administering the daily operations of the Branch / Priority Banking Centre. - Ensuring efficient and high-quality services are delivered to customers. ### Business - Generate business by cross-selling banking products to customers transacting at counters. - Ensure the highest standard of service is provided to customers at all times. - Maintain cordial relationships with existing and new customers. ### Processes - Handle deposit/withdrawal transactions and provide other banking services at counters. - Ensure the teller’s cash till is balanced with the online cash book and all customer transactions are correctly posted. - Post all general ledger entries and ensure the branch books are balanced. - Update customer records in the computer system and assist in general filing of bank records at the branch. - Comply with all applicable money laundering prevention procedures, reporting any suspicious activity to the Unit Money Laundering Prevention Officer and line manager. - Bring any encountered problems and recommended solutions to the attention of the Senior Branch Operations & Service Manager. ### Governance Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business, and, if necessary, overseeing changes in these areas. Requires awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates and the relevant regulatory requirements and expectations for the role. ### Regulatory & Business Conduct - Display exemplary conduct and abide by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. - Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance, in letter and spirit, with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct. - Lead the assigned branch to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; and The Right Environment. - Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters. ## Skills and Experience - Anti-money Laundering Policies and Procedures - Customer Interaction - Understanding Customer Needs - Teller Functions ## About the Role ### Our Ideal Candidate - Completed Tertiary Education. - Over 1 year of working experience in Customer Service or Client Services within Banking or Financial Services sectors. - Previous Bank Teller working experience is an advantage. - Good Communications and Interpersonal Skills. - Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
