This Trainee position provides an opportunity to gain operations experience within the Capital Markets Department, which is responsible for all operational support functions (Middle and Back Office) supporting market activities. You will develop valuable skills, including knowledge of financial products and the financial market environment. **Eligibility:** This opening is for candidates who will complete their degree requirements by September 2026 and are ready to start working from October 2026 onwards. The initial trainee program is for one year and has the possibility of an extension up to two years total, subject to performance and business needs. ## Key Responsibilities - Assist in the day-to-day support of capital market Middle/Back Office activities, maintaining a focus on accuracy and completeness. - Conduct studies, investigations, or other ad-hoc assignments as directed by the team head. - Engage in direct contact with internal or external clients to ensure the quality and timeliness of services related to trade support and processing, and respond to inquiries. - Handle daily reporting for internal control. - Collaborate with senior staff to update or establish working procedures. - Inform the team leader of any unusual booking and settlement matters upon identification. ## Candidate Criteria ### Education and Experience - Minimal education level: Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent academic qualification. - University graduates with less than 12 months of working experience. - Immediate availability is preferred. ### Skills and Qualifications #### Required Skills - Strong judgment, alertness, and common sense. - Good analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Comfortable with multi-tasking and able to work under pressure. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. #### Technical Skills Required - Understanding of financial markets fundamentals. - Knowledge of financial products. - Solid computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office. #### Languages - Fluent in English. **Note:** In accordance with the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), a successful candidate for an In-Scope Position who has held a position with an In-Scope Institution in the past 7 years will be subject to a mandatory reference check. ## Applying to this role This Trainee, Capital Markets Operations (One Year Contract) role at Crédit Agricole runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
