Join MUFG, where being inspired is expected and making a meaningful impact is rewarded. ## Purpose of the Job Financial Institutions (FI) is a coverage unit and key growth segment within the Bank/GCIB business, providing client solutions across the Banks, Institutional Investors and Financial Sponsors, Insurance, Public Sector, and Diversified Financials segments. This position supports the Global Co-Head of FI in: - Establishing business strategies for client segments, key sectors, and geographies. - Implementing a performance management structure with quantifiable key performance indicators (KPIs). - Developing the risk and control framework for the business and ensuring adherence across teams in line with MUFG guidelines. - Driving project initiatives and tracking success against measurable criteria. - Working with Relationship Managers (RMs) to enhance collaboration with product offices. This position reports to the Head of APAC FI Business Management. ## Primary Responsibilities ### Strategic - Support the Global Co-Head of FI in creating global, regional, and country strategies and monitoring implementation progress. - Identify key business trends, provide sound recommendations, and establish relationships with senior business stakeholders. - Create strategic and financial presentations for management meetings and business reviews. - Analyze year-to-date performance and develop target recommendations based on the business strategy. - Provide value-added financial analytics and market analysis to support business decisions and planning. ### Financial - Support the Global Co-Head of FI in achieving financial targets aligned with the Asia FI business strategy. - Regularly monitor business performance against financial targets and prompt appropriate business decisions. - Conduct business forecasting and analysis to identify further business opportunities and support risk management, including product penetration and concentration risks. ### Customer - Contribute to the overall Global and APAC FI strategy, business plans, and account plans by working with internal and external partners and stakeholders. - Define and deliver key business process improvements that support smooth day-to-day operations and enhance the client experience. - Drive client-centric implementation and development of business-wide action plans and improvement initiatives. ### People - Connect beyond your team and leverage MUFG’s global strength as One MUFG. - Value contributions and results over titles and hierarchy. - Develop yourself and others, recognize achievements, and encourage innovative ideas. - Initiate and manage projects independently or in coordination with virtual teams. - Proactively propose solutions. ### Other and Control - Ensure adherence to all regional and country risk and compliance requirements and applicable regulations, resulting in zero regulatory or compliance breaches. - Proactively identify and remediate risk and control issues, including credit and operational risk, information security, data accuracy and integrity, and fiduciary duties. - Establish and maintain effective internal controls that reflect a disciplined culture focused on preventing unsafe or unsound practices. - Maintain the safety and soundness of the FI business in close coordination with relevant internal business partners. - Assist the Global Co-Head of FI and GCBID management with business planning and cost-control initiatives. - Comply with internal rules and guidelines, as well as external laws and regulations governing the proper conduct of banking business. - Achieve KPIs established by the Head of Department and management and perform additional duties as assigned. ## Job Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. - Experience in business management, business analysis, or project management within a corporate or Financial Institutions banking environment, supporting frontline teams. - Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively. - Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. - A problem-solving, analytical, independent, and team-oriented mindset. - Ability to work under strict timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong project management skills, including the ability to structure deliverables coherently and manage and implement cross-regional strategy projects and initiatives. - Ability to collaborate across regions and teams as a trusted partner to deliver high-quality results. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs. - A “can-do” attitude and the ability to learn new topics quickly. ## Equal Opportunity Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
