You will contribute to global client projects focused on measuring and optimising marketing performance through advanced analytics and statistical modelling. You will gain first-hand experience as both a data scientist and strategic consultant, using tools such as Python and econometric modelling to inform real-world business decisions. You will collaborate on client projects and internal research and development from day one. During the internship, you will also have the opportunity to complete a research project aligned with your interests and contributing to Ekimetrics’ broader business goals. ## Responsibilities ### Data Analytics and Modelling - Analyse large datasets using statistical techniques to uncover key insights. - Support the development of marketing mix models, testing frameworks, forecasting tools and customer segmentation solutions. - Use Python to process and clean data, write scripts, and build machine learning or econometric models. - Work with tools such as Power BI, Databricks, Git, Jira, Pandas, PySpark and VS Code. ### Consulting and Strategy - Translate complex data outputs into clear recommendations for clients. - Attend internal and client meetings to understand real-world business challenges. - Collaborate across teams to develop deliverables, present findings and influence decisions. ### Learning and Development - Undertake an individual research and development project based on your interests and present your findings to the Ekimetrics leadership team. - Attend team events, internal training, knowledge-sharing sessions and social activities. - Contribute to a curious, collaborative and engaging team culture. ## About You ### Qualifications and Technical Skills - Currently studying for a quantitative degree, such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or Statistics. - Strong interest in analytics, modelling, marketing strategy and customer analytics. - Proficient in Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, TEXT, IF and SUMIFS, as well as pivot tables, for data cleaning, validation and structuring. This knowledge will be required during the interview process. - Some experience with Python, R or a similar programming language through academic work, projects or self-directed learning. - Solid foundation in statistics, econometrics and data manipulation. ### Consulting and Soft Skills - Curious, detail-oriented and comfortable working with ambiguity. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Highly collaborative, self-motivated and organised. - Strong interest in working at the intersection of data and business. ### Additional Requirements - Available to work five days per week from June or July 2026 to December 2026. - Full right to work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
