The team works closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, track key financial metrics, drive efficiency, and make product and business recommendations. In this role, you will support a high-growth business and use insights to help Uber prioritize initiatives and reach conclusions. As part of the summer program, your deliverable will be a business recommendation to the Strategic Finance Leadership team. Interns will also gain exposure to Uber’s Finance Development Program and learn more about potential career paths within Finance. This position is based in Uber’s New York City headquarters. ## What You’ll Do - **Financial Planning:** Support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis for Uber’s global business. - **Strategic Thinking:** Apply business judgment and financial insights to support decision-making for new initiatives, products, and business opportunities. - **Financial Modeling:** Build financial models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models into component parts. - **Operational Excellence:** Lead initiatives that help Uber scale from startup to enterprise. ## Basic Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a BS/BA program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a similar field (graduation date: Winter 2027 / Spring 2028). - Basic knowledge of GAAP and experience with Excel. - Minimum 1 year of involvement in extracurricular groups, activities, or internship opportunities. ## Preferred Qualifications - Prior analytical internship experience in the technology industry, including FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or private equity. - Leadership positions in extracurricular activities. - Proven understanding of GAAP, enterprise-level financial planning systems, SQL, and/or statistical software packages. - Outstanding analytical skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Ability to structure effective presentations. - Attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment. - **Self-starter:** Takes initiative, sets goals, and meets them. - **AI readiness:** Interest in and comfort with AI tools, with a willingness to learn and apply AI to improve productivity, problem-solving, and day-to-day work. ## About the Team We are a global and expansive team that excels at combining strategy and real numbers.
