Posted 2026-09-14; applications close 2026-11-13. **Apply**: https://careers-bocusa.icims.com/jobs/4547/queens-branch-banking-department---teller-section-%26-safe-deposit-box-section-associate-%28teller%29/job Posted 1d ago. ## Role details ## Teller (Queens Branch - Banking Department) **Location:** Flushing, NY (US-NY-Flushing) **Position Type:** Full-Time **Category:** Retail Banking **Job ID:** 2026-4547 ## Overview Serve customers with all banking needs by accepting and processing daily customer deposits, withdrawals, sales of financial monetary instruments, remittance transactions, RMB cash deposits and withdrawals, and Foreign Currency Exchange. ## Responsibilities ### Customer Service (80%) - Accept cash and check items for deposits. - Verify identity and signatures of customers’ withdrawals from accounts. - Perform cash checks for customers. - Handle sales of financial monetary instruments. - Accept outgoing remittance transactions. - Accept RMB cash deposits and withdrawals. - Accept Foreign Currency Exchange. - Input daily cash and check transaction records (3K and up). - Balance cash drawer daily (USD and CNY). - Promote and cross-sell banking products to potential customers. - Conduct remittance investigations and input outgoing remittance. - Process incoming payments and credit them to the proper accounts in T24. - Process returned checks. - Process checks on-us return or repost requests by ADM. - Process foreign check collection. - Serve customers with a friendly, warm, and helpful attitude at all times. - Release check holds for residential mortgage/loan payments. - Create non-customer profiles through RTO for Foreign Currency Exchange. - Help serve customers and verify their identity for accessing the safe deposit box area. - Back up Safe Deposit Box section operations. - Review safe deposit box area camera coverage for any suspicious activity weekly or bi-weekly. - Back up the ADM colleague in their absence to scan the daily batch. ### Compliance (20%) - Understand, comply with, and monitor applicable laws and regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act currency transaction reporting, and suspicious activity reporting. - Strictly comply with BOC Global Service Standard and BOC NY Performance Evaluation. - Report suspicious activities to the Supervisor of the teller section. ## Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED required. - Minimum 1 year of banking experience. - Demonstrated knowledge of safe deposit box operations. - Bilingual ability in English and Mandarin required. ## Pay Range Actual salary is commensurate with the candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and other qualifications. **USD $42,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 / Yr.** ## Applying to this role This Queens Branch-Banking Department / Teller Section & Safe Deposit Box Section Associate (Teller) role at Bank of China runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
