During these periods, Oaktree will be actively seeking enthusiastic and talented interns to join various departments. Internships run for **10 weeks**, starting **mid-June** and ending **mid-August**. The strategy seeks situations where Oaktree can gain control of, or significant influence over, companies exhibiting these characteristics, and then actively manages the businesses to deliver value as a private equity-like sponsor. It is flexible across capital structures, investing through secondary market debt (distress-for-control) and direct equity investments in distressed businesses.
