Our goal isn’t to ship the next feature—each team is working to set the standard for how humans work together in the AI era, from building a business’s system of record to making and managing AI agents and automating away busy work. ## About the Role Notion is looking for an Early Career Recruiter who wants to reimagine what early career hiring can look like. This is a role for a builder—someone energized by the challenge of finding and cultivating exceptional emerging talent, excited about crafting programs and experiences that don’t yet exist, and driven to solve creative problems across employer brand, candidate experience, and assessment design in an AI era. You will own Notion’s early career strategy end-to-end alongside a team of talented teammates—from how we reach communities to how we evaluate potential, develop talent, and convert interns and new grads into the next generation of Notinos. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People. This role can be based in San Francisco or New York City. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days). We’re looking for someone who’s excited to work alongside the team during those days. ## What You’ll Achieve - Build and run a differentiated early career recruiting engine (internships, new grad pipelines, and 0–2 years from school pipelines) that is durable, scalable, and distinctly Notion. - Create new models for talent discovery beyond traditional campus funnels by experimenting with communities, hackathons, open-source, AI-native sourcing tools, and creative outreach. - Develop inspired evaluation frameworks by challenging conventional interview loops and building assessments that reveal how candidates think, learn, and create—not just what they already know. - Strengthen employer brand presence by partnering with Comms, Design, and People to articulate why Notion is the best place to launch a career, bringing the story to life across channels, events, and touchpoints. - Increase hiring team capability by coaching and equipping hiring managers and interviewers to assess early career talent with nuance, fairness, and high standards. ## Skills You’ll Need to Bring - 2+ years of recruiter experience, with meaningful exposure to early career, university, or program-based hiring. - A builder mentality—energized by creating something new, not managing something established. - Genuine curiosity about how to find and evaluate emerging talent, with a mindset of experimentation across sourcing channels, assessment formats, and candidate engagement strategies. - Strong instincts for employer brand and candidate experience, with an understanding of how each touchpoint shapes perception and trust. - The ability to move between strategy and execution—design a program and run it. - Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners. - Comfort with data—using it to make decisions, spot patterns, and demonstrate what’s working. ## Nice to Haves - Experience building or contributing to an early career program from scratch. - Experience experimenting with non-traditional sourcing or evaluation approaches, with the ability to share what you learned. - Deep familiarity with the early career talent landscape in engineering and technical roles. - Familiarity with Notion and enthusiasm for what we’re building. ## Compensation Notion offers highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The specific compensation for this role is based on factors such as location, scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range is $135,000–$151,000 per year. ## A Note on AI You don’t need deep AI expertise for every role, but we do expect every Notino to be intellectually curious, drawn to tinkering and discovery, and excited to use AI as a real collaborator in their work. For some roles, AI fluency is a core requirement (and will be stated explicitly in the qualifications).
