Lazard is seeking to recruit an Associate to join the Business Services M&A Team in London. The Senior Analyst will report to senior bankers on each transaction. You will be responsible for the day-to-day support of marketing efforts and transaction execution and will have a central role in client interactions. The Senior Analyst will contribute to the team’s collegial culture, with a focus on collaboration and talent development. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated individual, with at least 1–2 years of M&A experience, to join the team in London. ## We’ll trust you to - Demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to build financial models. - Research, analyze, sensitize, and adapt internal and client-facing financial and statistical analysis/modeling. - Efficiently evaluate qualitative and quantitative data. - Assist in the preparation and production of presentations and marketing materials for clients and prospective clients, in consultation with other team members. - Assist MDs and senior bankers on an ad hoc basis as needed with various reports and analyses. - Assist in due diligence efforts as appropriate. - Use your own knowledge and judgment to add information to presentations where appropriate. - Identify issues arising and offer potential solutions. - Communicate effectively and appropriately. - Turn ideas into concise and comprehensive presentations. - Be a proactive team participant with a natural ability to develop your profile across Lazard groups and regions. - Anticipate needs and be proactive in making value-added contributions. - Independently develop sound and logical views while understanding both the big picture and the minutiae. - Show confidence, professionalism, and accountability at all times. - Contribute to firm-wide initiatives including recruiting, training, and professional development. ## You’ll need to have - Relevant M&A experience within an investment banking environment. Previous M&A transaction experience would be helpful but is not essential. - A robust understanding of the accounting principles underlying typical financial analyses used in advisory (particularly valuation). - Outstanding financial understanding that can be readily translated into modeling used for both marketing and execution purposes. - Self-motivation, with the demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests in a high-pressure environment. - The ability to take initiative and function independently, balanced with strong team skills. - Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - The ability to deliver requested materials to senior bankers in a timely manner. - Fluency with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance analysis, research, and workflow efficiency while maintaining high quality and integrity of output. - The skills to maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct, adhere to legal and regulatory requirements of the banking environment, and follow Lazard policies and procedures. - Minimum 2.1 university degree classification (or equivalent if studied outside the UK). ## What we offer We strive to enhance the total health and well-being of our employees through comprehensive, competitive benefits.
