This is an opportunity to join a world-class Research team focused on the innovation economy in the Healthcare sector and assist with the day-to-day responsibilities of full-time equity research professionals. ## Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Collect, evaluate, and apply statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets, specifically related to researching common stocks within the healthcare industry. - Analyze and synthesize researched data, presenting trends and ideas related to business opportunities and investment decision-making. - Observe interviews with company executives and industry leaders to develop and maintain sources of information for analyses. - Maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software. - Prepare reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data, including financial statement modeling, to support the firm’s investment policies and/or recommendations. ## Experience and Qualifications Required - Currently pursuing a PhD in pharmacology, molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, or a directly relevant medical discipline. - Ability to intern full time during Summer 2027 and potentially start full time in July 2028 (PhD completed by this time). - Some healthcare exposure, either academically or through job-related experience (preferred). - Interest in the stock market and Healthcare equity investment research. - Experience building pro forma financial models, including forecasting revenue, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. - Ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent written and oral presentation skills. ## About Leerink Partners As the leading investment bank to the healthcare and life science industries, Leerink Partners helps clients move healthcare forward.
