It integrates established disciplinary knowledge within the associate’s specialty area and includes a basic understanding of related industry practices. The associate will develop working knowledge of industry practices and standards and must be able to exchange information in a concise, logical manner while being sensitive to audience diversity. Impact is limited to the quality of tasks/services provided to the associate’s own team. ## Responsibilities - Execute foreign exchange (FX) processing as mapped to this role - Support Foreign Exchange Operations - Provide analytic support to traders and assist with review of FX trades - Follow established procedures to identify problems related to foreign exchange confirmation and settlement that require investigation or research - Assist in resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions using acquired technical experience and guided precedents - Assist in the implementation of process improvements - Minimize risk to the bank by increasing knowledge of procedural requirements, understanding and monitoring errors, and adhering to audit and control policies (including reconciliation, payment, and other processing systems) - Ensure timely management and escalation of all issues and discrepancies - Demonstrate understanding of products and processes and how duties integrate with others in the team and closely related teams - Use strong communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders and to exchange potentially complex and sensitive information while remaining sensitive to audience diversity - Assess risk when making business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; adhering to policy; applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior and business practices; and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency ## Qualifications - 0–2 years of experience working in Foreign Exchange Operations or a related field - Ability to work in a structured, high-volume, time-sensitive, high-risk, and demanding environment - Good analytical skills and a positive attitude - Good time management and organizational skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) ## Education - Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience ## Role Details - **Job Family Group:** Operations - Transaction Services - **Job Family:** Securities and Derivatives Processing - **Time Type:** Full time - **Primary Location:** Getzville, New York, United States - **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $55,341.00 - $68,270.00 - **Anticipated Posting Close Date:** Sep 16, 2026 ## Applying to this role This Securities &Derivatives Associate Analyst Hybrid role at Citi runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
