The role focuses on Corporate Development and Product Strategy for the Global Credit platform, with a secondary focus on Portfolio Management and Cross-Platform accounts. The position is primarily focused on **Product Development** and **Corporate Strategy** for the Global Credit platform (60%). The associate will support strategic growth initiatives, both organic and inorganic, across the Global Credit platform, including new product development, evaluation of potential strategic transactions, and development of strategic partnerships. The position also supports **Portfolio Construction** and **Portfolio Management** for accounts that span all strategies within Global Credit (40%). These vehicles include, but are not limited to, a 1940 Act regulated fund and large institutional SMAs, providing exposure to portfolio managers and investment processes across differing liquidity, risk, and geographic profiles. ## Responsibilities - Support strategic growth initiatives, both organic and inorganic, across the Global Credit platform, including new product development, evaluation of potential strategic transactions, and development of strategic partnerships - Conduct detailed market and financial analysis to support the firm’s strategic decisions and growth initiatives - Assist in managing, structuring, and executing transactions and product launches, including due diligence, document preparation, and financial modeling - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and competitive dynamics - Work with internal and external partners on marketing materials - Support ad hoc projects across the Credit business related to new business development and investor relations - Develop strong and wide-ranging relationships with internal and external Carlyle stakeholders to facilitate day-to-day responsibilities - Identify opportunities to streamline Carlyle’s processes and grow Carlyle’s business through portfolio management of Cross-Platform investment vehicles - Interact with portfolio managers regularly regarding portfolio construction, asset selection, liquidity and liability management, and position monitoring - Produce portfolio review materials on a regular basis for the Fund’s Board and management ## Requirements ### Professional Experience The target candidate will be trained Analysts/Associates with a minimum of 2 years of experience and exposure to a wide range of transactions, financial analysis, portfolio and/or valuation work, and due diligence work. Experience ideally includes investment banking, corporate development, strategy, or a related field. Successful candidates will view this as a long-term path into corporate development, product strategy, or investor relations within asset management. They should be genuinely motivated by platform-building, strategic problem-solving, and cross-functional execution. The role requires strong teamwork, a self-starter mindset, confidence interacting with all levels of the organization, the ability to drive processes independently, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The target candidate’s background includes: - Advanced financial modeling capability - Ability to interpret financial metrics and complete financial analysis when analyzing investment opportunities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills ### Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree required ## Benefits & Compensation The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; and licenses and/or certifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is **$150,000**. In addition to base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits, and various wellness programs.
