Posted 2026-09-07; applications close 2026-11-06. **Apply**: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/schonfeld/jobs/8024002 Posted 8d ago. ## Role details ## Trading Assistant We are seeking a Trading Assistant to join the Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income (DMFI) team at Schonfeld. You will have a passion for trading and a deep interest in financial markets. In this role, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers (PMs) while proactively collaborating with the Operations department on trade bookings, data analysis, and reports. You will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate effectively while working well with others. ## What You’ll Do - Support Portfolio Managers on trade bookings and overall blotter management - Own trade recaps and ensure accuracy across the trade life-cycle process and all systems - Oversee position management and P&L inquiries within the Portfolio Management System (PMS) and trader systems - Manage FX and futures rolls, expiries, cash balances, and trade/position-impactful events - Contribute to automation and tooling to reduce risk and gaps - Liaise with stakeholders and Portfolio Managers on risk and attribution reporting - Ensure compliance and due diligence measures are followed in accordance with regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities - Coordinate with Operations, Product, and P&L Valuations teams to ensure vendor and internal support systems align with PMs’ accuracy in booking and P&L modeling within the firm’s expected construct ## What You’ll Bring **What you need:** - Experience supporting Portfolio Managers or Traders - Knowledge of operational risk and trade life-cycle events as they impact P&L - Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, with effective communication and presentation skills - Understanding of financial markets and fixed income and FX products, including futures, forwards, swaps, and options - Self-manageable with intellectual curiosity and a drive to find the best solutions - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask with ease, maintain strong attention to detail, and demonstrate strong interest in market and product structures - Advanced Excel with VBA and macros - Proficiency in Python ## Our Culture The firm’s ethos is embedded in its people. “Talent is our strategy” is the mantra and drives how the firm approaches initiatives. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package.
