Bank of America is committed to an in-office culture with specific requirements for office-based attendance, allowing for flexibility based on role-specific considerations. ## The Team Our Global Markets (GM) Summer Analyst programme gives interns maximum exposure to the various products across FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities) and Equities. ## Programme Overview Interns will work in an exciting and fast-paced environment, fully supported by managers, buddies, mentors, and Global Markets colleagues. Interns will complete three rotations during their internship across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Platform, and Electronic Trading. ## Training and Development Your training and development is a top priority. The programme includes extensive formal training at the start, along with on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout. ## Responsibilities As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include: ### Sales - Supporting the salesforce in their daily activities - Gaining exposure to client relationship management - Preparing marketing material and working on client presentations - Exploring sales leads through market and company research - Delivering analytical projects around client profitability and market trends ### Trading - Supporting traders in their daily activities - Shadowing senior members of the team and undertaking mock trading to learn the basics of risk management and market making - Analysing client and market data to help develop and execute trades - Following and analysing macro and company-specific events in real time, and anticipating potential outcomes ### Structuring - Supporting senior structurers, traders, and the salesforce across GM in their daily activities, gaining maximum exposure to GM’s clients and products (e.g., preparing a pitchbook for a client meeting, or analysing, designing, and marketing a new client solution) - Gaining front-to-back exposure of GM transactions, from client relationship management with Sales to risk management and pricing with Trading - Be part of the analytical engine of GM and deliver projects across topical themes across various asset classes (Equities, Rates, FX, and Credit), working with stakeholders such as Quants or Research - Following and analysing macro, markets, and industry-specific events in real time, and providing solutions to a diverse set of institutional clients ### Platform and Electronic Trading - Discover how the Platform team collaborates with clients, Sales & Trading, Quants, and Technology to create solutions used globally - Learn about the cross-asset electronic trading platform that drives best execution for clients and internal trading desks, as well as varied roles within the team (Product Sales, Sales-Trading, Consulting, Project Management) - Gain exposure to projects such as automating Trader & Sales workflows, building pricing and risk-recycling tools, uncovering client profitability insights, crafting optimization algorithms, and using data to reveal market trends - Leverage programming skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and an interest in derivatives & financial markets to build a prototype application that improves business efficiency and profitability - Demonstrate analytical skills by deriving insights from client and trading data and presenting them to business leadership ## Eligibility - Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a completion timeframe between September 2027 and July 2028. Completion means completing all final exams and coursework with no outstanding requirements for graduation. Bank of America may request evidence of the completion date before extending an offer. - On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent) Candidates who perform well during the internship may be offered full-time employment to commence in July 2028. Some lines of business may also offer the opportunity of a January or April start date.
