## Team Overview

**Global Risk Management (GRM)** is an enterprise control function providing independent risk management for Bank of America. GRM ensures the company pursues its Responsible Growth strategy through strong risk management practices while deploying capital appropriately to support business activities and maximize shareholder value. GRM oversees the company’s governance and strategy for risk management, including relationships with key regulators and supervisory institutions worldwide.

All employees are expected to comply with relevant laws, regulations, ethical standards, and internal policies and procedures.

**Global Risk Summer Analysts** will be aligned to teams supporting one of our seven risk types, providing exposure to a broad range of risk management activities and business challenges.

## Programme Overview

The **Global Risk Development Summer Analyst Programme** is a **10-week** experience designed to provide insight into Bank of America, the role of GRM, and how effective risk management supports Responsible Growth across a leading global financial institution.

As a Summer Analyst, you will gain exposure to the Bank’s seven risk disciplines—**Strategic, Market, Credit, Compliance, Liquidity, Operational and Reputational Risk**—developing a strong foundation in risk management and the financial services industry.

Summer Analysts are given meaningful responsibilities, contributing to real business challenges, supporting strategic initiatives, and partnering with colleagues across Global Risk and the broader Bank. Through hands-on project work, you will develop analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, and gain insight into how risk-based decision-making supports the success of the company.

The programme also offers opportunities to build relationships across Global Risk, collaborate with business partners throughout the Bank, and gain exposure to senior leaders and decision-making processes, supporting your professional skills, industry knowledge, and practical experience while exploring a long-term career in risk management.

## Training and Development

Supporting your development is a key priority, with formal training at the start of the programme complemented by on-the-job learning, speaker events, and mentorship opportunities.

## Responsibilities

- Partner with Risk Managers to assess and manage the company’s risk exposures arising from business activities in accordance with the Risk Framework.

- Support and manage projects and initiatives related to risk management.

- Support regulatory initiatives and policy implementation activities while assessing the potential impact of regulatory developments on risk management practices.

- Support a culture where effective risk management is embedded in decision-making and contributes to Responsible Growth.

## Eligibility

- Pursuing a **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** from an accredited college or university, with a completion time frame between **September 2027 and July 2028**.

- Completion means completing all final exams, coursework, and having no outstanding requirements for graduation.

- Note: evidence of the completion date may be requested before extending an offer.

- On track for a **minimum 2:1** degree classification (or equivalent).

- Must be available to join the programme from **June 2027 to August 2027**.

- Strong performance during the internship may lead to full-time employment commencing in **July 2028**; some lines of business may also offer a **January or April** start date. If offered, you must be available for one of these start dates. Deferrals are not available.
