Following an enriching orientation program, Interns begin working on day-to-day responsibilities with support from colleagues serving as instructors and mentors throughout the internship. Interns receive formal performance reviews. You will work on projects that include research, analysis, and recommendations, while being encouraged to think creatively, share input, and add value from day one. Interns are expected to pursue projects with excellence, a collaborative spirit, and the highest levels of integrity. ## What We Look for in a Candidate We are seeking candidates eager to make an impact to clients through real, hands-on work. Successful Interns are able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You must demonstrate professionalism and relationship management skills, along with strong technical and written and verbal communication abilities. The work is fast-paced, challenging, and intellectually stimulating. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable, and work both independently and as part of a team are essential. Candidates should have a strong academic background and be pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program. While experience in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire students from a variety of disciplines. ## Desired Background & Skills - Undergraduate candidates pursuing a Bachelor’s degree - Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028 - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Broad understanding of financial markets - High level of professionalism and client management - Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines - Project management skills (a plus) - Team player who excels working independently and collaboratively - Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously - Strong written and verbal communication skills ## Work With Us: Opportunities Within Operations The Jefferies Operations team provides Interns the opportunity to become familiar with the processing and reconciliation of all firm and client trading and settlement activity. Interns will be placed in one of the following teams within Operations: Capital Markets Middle Office, Operations Projects, U.S. Securities Operations, or Static Data/New Accounts. Interns will also have regular and consistent interaction with other operational groups, as well as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and business management teams. ### Intern Responsibilities (May Include) - Supporting product-specific Sales & Trading desks - Working with Front Office teams to on-board accounts in a client-focused manner - Partnering with clients throughout the trading lifecycles - Understanding the reconciliation trade break process - Identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies ## About Jefferies Jefferies is a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm providing advisory, sales and trading, research, and wealth and asset management services.
