The client services cover both high-volume flow products and carefully tailored structured solutions, with a client-centric focus differentiated by innovation, electronic and service excellence, and market-leading derivatives capabilities. ## Role Overview The Securitised Products & Private Credit (SP&PC) team is active in the structured illiquid credit space, providing flexible capital solutions to support a variety of situations, including infrastructure financing, portfolio financing, private credit, direct lending, and real estate financing. The team acts as principal and distributes risk on an ad-hoc basis. The team is involved across the origination, screening, diligence, structuring, execution, syndication, and monitoring phases of the transaction lifecycle. The role is for an **Analyst / Associate** to build on the team’s momentum in EMEA and support its growth across its client franchise. ## Programme Overview Through the nine-week Internship Programme, you will experience first-hand the possibilities of a career in banking. The internship is a placement for nine weeks within the SP&PC team, working on real projects with direct value to Nomura’s business, supervised by experienced members of the team. The internship is also an opportunity to get a feel for Nomura’s culture, create new networks, and gain valuable on-the-job training. Internships can also prepare you for a subsequent full-time role, with Nomura extending full-time offers to strong performers. ## Key Objectives / Critical to Success - Work as part of a focused team to design and prepare structured financing proposals suited to Nomura’s client needs. - Support screening, risk approval, and due diligence processes for new transactions. - Perform fundamental credit analysis, modelling, and assessment of underlying project cash flows and collateral value; draft transaction memoranda. - Participate in client and internal calls and meetings to support the processes and analyses above. - Execute trades and associated hedges. - Assist in the day-to-day management of SP&PC processes. - Support the management of existing risks (operational, credit, rates, etc.) on the book. ## Training Summer Analysts will receive extensive training to enhance the skills needed to perform well during the internship. The programme includes training in Financial Markets, Bloomberg, Excel, Conduct Risk, and a variety of division-specific activities.
