We hire critical thinkers who thrive in a collaborative culture—solving real problems while building the future of finance. **Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s London Office.** ### About the Role PIMCO Technology teams produce internal-use technology solutions to help the trade floor make investment decisions, manage portfolio risk, and serve our clients. As a Technology Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of finance and technology—solve fast-paced problems and drive innovation. Over 10 weeks during the summer, interns work alongside engineers, developers, investment professionals, and analytics teams to develop cutting-edge software and deliver value-add tools. You’ll have the chance to define your career with a dynamic, growing global investment management leader while working with a smart, fun team. ### You are eligible to apply if you: - Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028. - Must be able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028. - Are on track to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree (or the equivalent) at an accredited college or university. - Are business proficient in English. ### You’ll excel as a Technology Analyst if you: - Are curious with strong problem-solving skills and the desire to take ownership and drive solutions to completion. - Possess strong programming skills, such as Python, Java, C#, and C++. - Have SQL, RDBMS, and data warehouse skills or experience. - Have superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders across the firm. - Can work well independently and in a team environment. - Have demonstrated curiosity and experience using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes. ### What You’ll Contribute To As a PIMCO Tech intern, you’ll work on exciting projects such as: - Developing and applying complex analytical methods to massive data sets to manage risk and search for alpha for clients. - Creating and improving internal applications used by the firm to execute investment strategies, manage risk, and support our clients. - Building tools and platforms to help portfolio managers leverage and analyze test data while applying advances in big data analytics. - Streamlining trade floor processes, trade executions, and transaction costs, and identifying new technologies to improve business value. ### Internship Experience - The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program. - During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training to build the skills, knowledge, and relationships needed for success. - During Week 2, you will deep dive into PIMCO’s technology ecosystem and enhance your developer skills through PIMCO Technology University (PTU) Intern Bootcamp. - Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team provide guidance and mentorship throughout the summer. - You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, supported by training and resources to help build future-ready skills and make an impact early. - Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO’s Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of employees’ worldwide volunteer efforts. - Join a variety of cross-divisional education, networking, and social events. - You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on track to meet your summer goals. ### How to Apply Applications open September 2026.
