Candidates must be fluent in English to apply to all roles. Opportunities are also available for Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai Cantonese, and Mandarin speakers. ### Eligibility You’re eligible to apply if you: - Are an undergraduate currently pursuing a degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028. - Can begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028. - Are on track to achieve a minimum bachelor’s degree (or equivalent). - Are business proficient in English (proficiency in any Asian languages is a plus). **While our eligibility requirements are not flexible**, we encourage you to apply even if you do not possess 100% of the desired skills outlined below. ### What You’ll Excel At as a Product Analyst You’ll excel if you: - Have an interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment management. - Possess strong analytical skills and have an understanding of programming languages (a plus). - Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Can clearly relay complex ideas. - Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Desire to join a fast-paced, high-performance culture. - Are results-oriented, with strong attention to detail and time management skills. - Demonstrate curiosity and experience using emerging technologies and AI tools in work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes. ### Role Overview You will work within the Product Strategy Group, a global team of over 130 professionals responsible for financial market expertise (both internally and externally), strategic business management, as well as entrepreneurship and marketing for a wide range of PIMCO product lines. You’ll gain exposure to financial markets, product design, development and distribution, portfolio analysis, and/or client communication. You will work with one or multiple specialty teams that focus on covering specific investment strategies (e.g., Multi-Sector Fixed Income (MSFI), Credit, Emerging Markets, Alternatives, etc.). Responsibilities vary between teams but may include: - Market and economic updates - Portfolio commentaries - Client portfolio analytics and investment insights - Competitor intelligence - Client presentation materials - Risk and performance attribution ### The PIMCO Internship Experience - The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program. - During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success. - Alongside your colleagues, you’ll participate in PIMCO’s Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees’ worldwide volunteer efforts. - Join a variety of cross-divisional education, networking, and social events. - Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team provide guidance and mentorship throughout the summer. - You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future-ready skills and make an impact from the start. - You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to help you meet your summer goals. ### Interview Process - After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume. - If you are selected to move forward, you will be invited to complete a one-way video interview and assessment, showcasing your interests, skills, and personality. - Once you complete the assessment, you will have a final round of live interviews with us via video conference, typically including both behavioral and technical questions.
