Monday–Thursday on-site; Friday remote. ## About the Role Wayfair Planning and Inventory Management partners with thousands of suppliers to maximize customers’ experience by driving speed and availability through inventory and positioning strategies. You will develop insights to influence suppliers’ product assortment, production, supply chain, and operations. Additional focus areas include financial analysis to support decisions on inventory levels, managing excess inventory, promotional inventory planning, and improving overall inventory efficiency. You will partner with suppliers to grow their business with Wayfair, with an emphasis on availability, inventory turns, and forward positioning. ## What You’ll Do - Develop and execute strategies to optimize sales, turns, in-stock rates, and network balance. - Work cross-functionally with Analytics, Category Management, Forecasting, and other teams to understand sales and market trends impacting forecasts. - Create replenishment order plans and/or sell-through actions aligned with supplier goals. - Communicate with suppliers to ensure follow-through on replenishment orders and inventory commitments, and to develop sustainable long-term strategies. - Monitor key performance indicators and drive corrective actions with suppliers and cross-functional partners. - Manage efficient inbound inventory flows and inventory health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing aged inventory. - Align Wayfair teams (Operations, Promotions, Category Management) to support strong supplier execution and to understand and manage demand drivers impacting growth. - Support initiatives to improve Inventory Planning systems, data, and processes. - Perform root-cause analysis and reporting on inventory-related issues; develop action plans and project-manage improvements. - Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analysis using standard scripts and reporting; use data/Excel to drive supplier actions and support decisions. - Regularly communicate performance trends and improvement opportunities to senior management and leadership. ## What You’ll Need - Experience in operations, retail, engineering, consulting, strategy, or finance. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. - Preferred: experience in Demand Planning. - Entrepreneurial mindset; adaptable and comfortable with change. - Team-first approach with enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration. ## Benefits & Perks - Full health benefits available (Medical, Dental, Vision) for eligible employees. - Global Traveler Health Insurance through GeoBlue. - 24/7 access to mental, financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing support, plus enhanced therapy and coaching. - Automatic enrollment into Life Insurance (at no cost to the employee). - Company matched Pension Plan. - Tuition Reimbursement. - Personalized financial planning through LearnLux. - Wayfair Employee Discount. - Yearly match up to $500 for personal donations to registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits. - Paid Parental Leave, Surrogacy & Adoption Reimbursement, and Caregiver Services. - Exclusive access to perks and discounts through BenefitHub. - “Cycle to Work” Commuter Benefits. - Gym/Fitness Discounts. - Assistance for individuals with disabilities. ## Equal Opportunity Wayfair is committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.
