## Role details

## Key Responsibilities and Duties

  
- Research, extract, and analyze relevant data to solve problems, draw logical conclusions, and make investment recommendations that support business decisions.
  
- Use industry research tools to capture, research, and synthesize essential industry knowledge to support informed investment decisions.
  
- Research and analyze historical financials, profit margins, strengths, risks, and mitigants to support expected cash and downside forecasts.

## Requirements

  
- Preferred candidate is a rising Senior (Class of 2028) expected to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics, Accounting, or another quantitatively focused curriculum.
  
- Strong attention to detail; careful review of facts and figures, with the ability to quickly identify errors and ensure information consistency.
  
- Superior Excel and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  
- Knowledge of the middle market levered lending market, customers, and competitors is strongly preferred.
  
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and convey complex business and marketing concepts; effective, strong active listening skills.
  
- Proven track record of success collaborating in a fast-paced, results-driven team environment.
  
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence, and gain credibility.
  
- Innovative and creative thinker; ability to connect previously unrelated ideas and project how potential concepts may play out.
