We also operate a multi-asset sustainability platform, SGX FIRST (Future in Reshaping Sustainability Together). With climate action as a key priority, SGX aims to be a leading sustainable and transition financing and trading hub offering trusted, quality, end-to-end products and solutions. This internship programme is full-time. Interns are expected to be involved in real-time work from Day 1. ## Unit/Team Overview SGX’s Global Sales & Origination (GSO) team has a global presence with 19 overseas offices across Asia, the United States (US) and Europe. The aim of GSO is to broaden institutional and corporate client coverage to increase participation in SGX’s multi-asset product suite, including Securities and Derivatives across Equities, FX, Rates, Commodities and Digital Assets. The intern will be part of the team with the primary mandate for new client acquisition and relationship management with end clients, including Hedge Funds, Proprietary Trading Groups, Asset Managers, Asset Owners, and Bank Desks. ## Learning Outcomes - Gain exposure to global markets and changing East-West dynamics. - Understand how end clients leverage SGX products to speculate or hedge. - Work alongside market professionals to develop well-rounded sales skills and learn how to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders. - Contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment. ## Job Description - Assist with desktop research on market and industry information, client segmentation, sales prospects, and lead generation databases. - Support marketing events and campaigns. - Work with Products to consolidate information relating to contract specifications, orderbook, and trading insights/analysis, and repurpose it for institutional and corporate clients. - Create and maintain market intelligence to track client and personnel developments, informing engagement plans by the sales team. - Attend calls and meetings, assisting with briefs, preparing post-meeting notes, and following up on actions. - Actively use AI tools to enhance productivity, improve research quality, and support execution of the above responsibilities. ## Knowledge and Skills Requirements - Knowledge of macroeconomics, financial markets, and derivative instruments. - Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English. - Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - Highly detail-oriented and meticulous; comfortable working with large data sets. - Skilled in using AI tools. - Intellectual curiosity and humility. - Fast learner, proactive, and self-motivated. ## Applying to this role This Intern - GSO, New Business Sales (Spring 2027, Jan to Jun)) role at SGX runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
