Note: Leave of Absence (LOA) may be required to take on the internship. ## Unit/Team Overview This unit has global responsibilities for the FX, Rates & Crypto business, including product development, marketing, and product management. It is involved in developing and deploying key strategies across all geographies and driving the sales plan to achieve goals. ## What the Intern Can Learn - Develop an in-depth understanding of FX market microstructure, marketplace dynamics, and competition - Data mine daily trading volume and open interests; map opportunities for cross-selling - Produce regular weekly and monthly write-ups on the FX market - Conduct market and liquidity analysis by evaluating volumes, open interest (OI), volatility, and performing competitive analysis across DEX, CEX venues, and competing regulated exchanges - Perform funding rate optimization and analytics by analyzing and optimizing perpetual funding rate parameters; use quantitative analysis to assess impacts on position holders, market makers, and flow - Gain exposure to sales and marketing through conferences and promotional events - Analyse customer segments’ trading patterns and behaviour ## Job Description - Assist in market microstructure analysis and SWOT review for both FX and Crypto Derivatives - Support end-of-day Daily Settlement Price derivation analysis - Help produce marketing material and pitch research - Assist with weekly and monthly write-ups of global macro drivers and FX market performance - Participate in selected FX sales and marketing events - Support eDM distribution and SGX FX website publication and updates - Help prepare the FX sales pipeline for a weekly business meeting - Support business analytics involving clients, geographies, products, and performance ## Knowledge and Skill Requirements - Detail-oriented with good analytical skills - Good command of English and/or Mandarin will be useful - Good Excel skills (including Power Pivot), with a focus on data and attention to detail - VBA skills are preferable - Experience or working knowledge of Bloomberg, preferably including Bloomberg Excel tools - SQL skills will be useful, although not a must - Interest in global markets (FX, Rates, Crypto, and general macroeconomics) ## Applying to this role This Intern - Derivates, FX Derivatives (Spring 2027, Jan to Jun) role at SGX runs through the firm's own careers portal and expects a CV and cover letter written specifically for the posting, not a portable submission carried across firms.
